App perbit.insight dashboard

By providing perbit.insight dashboard, perbit Software GmbH offers the users an additional instrument for efficient personnel work.

perbit Software GmbH does not acquire or store any personal data for the download and the installation of the app perbit.insight dashboard, which is offered in the Apple App Store.

When using the app perbit.insight dashboard, the username of the user who most recently logged on and, depending on the security level, in parts their password will be stored locally on the mobile unit of the user in addition to the settings that a user can establish in the setting dialogue of the app ("Server URL" and "Color scheme for colorblind weaknesses" activated/deactivated).

The following 4 security levels are offered by the app perbit.insight dashboard:

  • Level 0: Password will be stored in the app.
This performs an automatic login (even after a restart of the app) without having to input the username and the Password
  • Level 1: the Password ist not stored.
For each restart of the app, the user must log in manually with their Password.
  • Level 2: the password is not stored.
For each restart of the app, the user must log in manually with their password. If the app is started in the background, then the user must also log in manually with their password.
  • Stufe 3: the Password is not stored.
Entering its password manually, the user must log in for each restart of the app and if the app is started in the background. If the app is inactive for a certain time, then the user must also log in manually using their password.

The following data will additionally be stored in the app to reduce the server load and the data volume to be transmitted:

  • Branding (customer logo, administrative settings such as color scheme, security level, etc.)
  • Navigation menu structure with dashboard

The data must be stored permanently in the app together with a validity feature. The validity feature identifies a certain version of the data. If the data is requested by the server together with a validity feature, then the server can decide whether it sends new data with the answer or whether it signals to the app that no changes are present.

The following data will be stored temporarily in the intermediate memory (cache) of the app:

  • Structure data for diagrams (diagram type, number of axes, unit of the axes, etc.)
  • Data series for diagrams

The intermediate memory (cache) stores the data only for a certain period of time and not permanently in the app. During this period, the data stored in the immediate memory will be accessed repeatedly and therefore a new request to the server will not be started. If the period expires, then the data will be destroyed and will be reloaded from the server for a new request. The customer can configure the time individually in the settings of the Server.

Without exception, the data is transmitted encrypted through an HTTPS Connection.

App perbit.insight mobile

perbit Software GmbH is committed to protect the privacy of our customers. This privacy policy applies to the app perbit.insight mobile and its users. This privacy policy describes how perbit.insight mobile collects and uses the information you provide when using the app.

No personal data is requested or stored by perbit Software GmbH when downloading and installing the app perbit.insight mobile from the Apple App Store.

While using the app perbit.insight mobile user-specific data such as „Server-URL“ and „Login as ESS-User“ active/inactive as well as the login-name -but not the password- will be stored locally on the user‘s appliance.

The password is required each time the app is started. The app will time-out and close automatically if not in use.

The following system relevant data are stored locally to optimise transmission speed and transfer volume:

  •  Form design specifications

This data is stored by the app together with a valid version number. The server continually checks the version number and transmits data only after valid modifications have taken place.

All of your data remains private and confidential. The security of personal information is important to us. All information is transmitted using the HTTPS protocol.

The app uses push-technology to keep users informed of upcoming tasks. This function can be enabled or disabled in „Settings“. When enabled, messages corresponding to the individual user’s settings will be automatically displayed.

To identify the recipient of push-messages perbit.insight uses a combination of the user name and a device token. The device token is however not a unique identification code for the appliance.

Push-messages are routed through the Amazon Simple Notification Service (ASNS) using Servers in Germany to the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) which in turn transmits to the relevant end user.

Push-messages contain only simple text notifications e.g. „A new task is waiting“. None of the personal data stored in perbit.insight is transmitted to the mobile app. Push-messages are encrypted in transmission using transport layer security (TLS) technology.
